OEIC Unit Cost Sheet Creation and Implementation
Supported the client’s implementation of their first Multi Managed OEIC funds, this involved:-
- Configuration of the system and creation of Unit Cost Sheet
- Analysis and creation of the new processes and procedures required
- Testing of existing and new functionality within the OEIC fund framework
- Understanding and testing of different tax scenarios
- Implementation of the funds into the live production environment
- Liaising with managers from all departments and a successful depository visit, which allowed the company to go live with the funds
- Testing and implementation of new fund configuration post the out-sourcing of the fund management to allow multiple fund managers on each fund
- Both OEIC and Multi Manager training
System Configuration & Fund Implementation
Configuration of the client’s investment accounting system to allow them to start providing a third party fund administration service. Then managed the implementation of their first client onto this system, this involved:-
- Analysis and mapping of source information
- Creation of new transactions and new procedures
- Analysis of differences in tax calculation
- Reconciliation’s
- Meetings with client to agree timescales
- Project management
- Creating training module for roll out to new area
- Fund implementation and sign off, which was completed one month early
Creation of Procedure Manual
Created complete Icon procedure manual for use by staff and audit.
Fund Review
Using Icon Report Writer, provided a suite of reports to allow client to periodically check integrity of standing data.
Consolidation Automation
Using Icon Report Writer, provided automated solution for year end consolidation which had previously taken a number of days to complete.
New Fund Implementation
ASP client required support and training to allow set up of new fund structure, this involved:-
- Analysis of business requirement
- Creation of spreadsheet to re assign units and value
- Liaison with Linedata to provide system configuration
- Staff training to aid understanding of new structure
- Implementation and sign off
